was established by the late Mr. Sayed El Batie Ali Hassan.

Batie as a company is a normal propagation of TEPPICH-HASSAN.
It is specialized in high quality hand knotted carpets and rugs and hand woven
kelims. Both the management and the factory are located in old Islamic Cairo
where you feel the smell of the past with all its magnificent and charming
architecture and grotesque.
Manufacturing
process
:
The
manufacturing process is not such an easy way to reach the final shape of a
carpet.
Briefly,
it begins from choosing good and long sheep’s wool to get into the spinning
and twisting stage to give a strong and soft thread which is washed many times
to make it brilliant and softer. Thus, the wool is ready to enter the stage of
dyeing where some of the best dyes are used to give us the various and long
lasting colors we need. Then, the manufacturing process enters more artistic
stage where we have some professional artists who try to copy and imitate old
amazing designs and somehow create new ones.
In such a way, we get into the stage of hand knotting with a high quality wool and ready designs to give us the finest shape and quality of the different brands we make. After that all, the finishing stage is one of the important stages in the manufacturing process where we have also some specialized and professional workers who make great efforts to give any carpet or rug we make the antique and –at the same time charming form before exhibiting it for sale.
